Analysis of the main driving force of 6G network
With the acceleration of the global 5G commercialization process, countries and organizations in many regions around the world have successively launched 6G research. Countries have increased policy support and capital investment to accelerate 6G research. It is foreseeable that in the next 5 to 10 years, the competition for the right to speak in 6G technology will become more and more fierce.
At present, relevant research mainly focuses on 6G service requirements and underlying wireless technologies. The domestic 6G network vision, scenarios, indicators and key technologies are currently under heated discussions, among which the discussion on 6G service requirements and network architecture begins first. Various research institutes and companies have released white papers from different standpoints and technical perspectives, expounding their respective 6G viewpoints, from which we can see the thinking of industry experts on 6G development. Although there is no consensus yet, we can see that 6G viewpoints are constantly converging and converging. The 6G-enabled technologies are still being discussed openly, and more from the perspective of the feasibility of the independent technologies themselves, and the impact and systematic correlation analysis between technologies has not yet been considered. Smart endogenous and safe endogenous are the key directions, and key enabling technologies with high application potential and high value are the current focus.
After 2 years of accumulation, the discussion on 6G network requirements, vision and key technologies has shifted from divergence to focus, and a certain consensus has gradually been reached on 6G scenarios, requirements, key technologies and research progress. In the follow-up discussions, the technical views on 6G will be further converged and a consensus will be reached on some main elements. At the same time, there will be more obvious collisions between different viewpoints, and differences on certain issues will be more prominent. Before the standardization of 6G network technology is completed, relevant discussions will go through multiple iterative or spiral evolution processes.
