What is 5G?
5G is the 5th Generation Mobile Networks (the fifth generation mobile communication network), also known as the 5th Generation Wireless Systems (the fifth generation wireless communication system). As the name suggests, 5G is the next-generation deep evolution of 4G, the mainstream communication technology we are currently using.
5G technical indicators
When the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T) started the research on 5G standards, it solicited 5G index requirements and everyone's needs for 5G from all over the world. After several rounds of discussions, the ITU finally integrated the opinions of various countries and confirmed eight quantifiable key indicators of 5G, which were summarized as the "spider web model". The specific indicators are shown in the figure below.
